Errata -- July 16, 2002 This errata file applies only to those users who downloaded the 27 June 2002 release of CMAQ before 16 July 2002. If you downloaded an "old" copy of the 27 June 2002 release, you are encouraged to read this errata file and to update your script and reference data files. The following corrections have been made to the 27 June 2002 release: (1) The TUTORIAL_PROCEDURE readme file said that, "The scripts are set to compile the model with the saprc99_ae3_aq mechanism ...,". It should have said "... with the cb4_ae3_aq mechanism ...". (2) Item No. 5 in the README file said to "untar the models archive tar file,M3MODEL.tar." It should have said, "untar the models archive tar file, MODELS.tar." (3) Item No. 10 in the README file had the following incorrect statement: "Note: The "run.jproc" script is set up to produce daily J-value tables for the cb4_ae2_aq mechanism starting from 5 July to 19 July 1995." It should have said "Note: The "run.jproc" script is set up to produce daily J-value tables for the cb4_ae3_aq mechanism starting from 30 June to 14 July 1999." (4) The script "bldit.cctm.linux" contained two erroneous lines. The first erroneous line read as follows: set ICL_MECH = /project/cmaq/yoj/saprc/mech/cb4_ae3_aq Users attempting to run the script would not have that path to the mechanism include files defined, and the code should not have compiled. The corrected script should now read as follows: set ICL_MECH = $GlobInc/$Mechanism The effect of the above script error was that the original (June 27, 2002 version) Linux cctm reference data were generated with no dry deposition of aerosol water (species AH2OI and AH2OJ). The resulting concentrations will be slightly different for some of the aerosol species. The second erroneous line read as follows: set Mpich = /home/cwong/mpi/mpich-1.2.4 The corrected line should now read as follows: set Mpich = /usr/local/mpich-1.2.4 This error should have had no effect unless trying to build a parallel executable. These two script errors have been corrected and new reference data have been generated in M3DATA_REF_LINUX.tar.gz (renamed from M3DATA_REF.tar.gz). (5) Although it has no effect on the reference data, just to be consistent, all the "bldit" scripts have been modified to set the mechanism to "cb4_ae3_aq" to reflect using the new aero3 with ISORROPIA.
