############################################################################################################ AMSTERDAM is the Advanced Modeling System for Transport, Emissions, Reactions and Deposition of Atmospheric Matter. The model was earlier known as CMAQ-MADRID-APT-Hg. AMSTERDAM v.4.6 is based on the public release of CMAQ version 4.6. AMSTERDAM allows for all configurations of CMAQ-MADRID-APT-Hg, where MADRID is a sectional aerosol module with updated SOA chemistry, APT is a plume-in-grid module and Hg is a mercury chemistry model based on the TEAM model. All configurations can be run in parallel including those with APT There are 2 tarfiles released via CMAS now called ams4.6_repository.tar.gz and ams4.6_scripts.tar.gz On downloading and untarring these 2 tarfiles, you will have 2 directories. 1) The directory "ams4.6_repository" contains the source code modules needed to build different configurations of AMSTERDAM 4.6. It also has libraries ('lib') built on athlon i386 with PGI 6.1. There are currently 3 configurations of AMSTERDAM: a) Using AERO3 Advanced Plume-in-Grid (APT) Treatment b) Using MADRID with APT c) Using MADRID with Hg, no APT, and with 12 sections 2) The directory ams4.6_scripts contains the scripts to build and run each of these 3 configurations along with a configuration specific README file with additional instructions. 3) The test input and outputs for the 3 configurations are of large size and not posted online at CMAS. But we can make these available on request via email. They total ~41 GB. 7854680 CMAQ_AERO3_APT 13041588 MADRID_APT 21691780 MADRID_XHg_12sec 4) For details on how to use the model, users are referred to the CMAQ_MADRID 2005 User's Guide. Additionally, we have also provided a list of publications that refer to the various phases of the AMSTERDAM model development and its applications. ############################################################################################################ AMSTERDAM is only supported for the following configuration: AMD Athlon i386 4-processor system (Opteron 2218) Linux Fedora Core 4 (v 2.6.23) PGI 6.1 compiler mpich 2-1.0.3 ioapi 3.0 ############################################################################################################
