Help Desk
If you are a new Models-3 user or have never used the CMAS services before, make sure you first read our information for new users.
CMAS supports the following software products:
- Community Multiscale Air Quality (CMAQ) Modeling System (includes MCIP)
- Sparse Matrix Operator Kernel Emissions (SMOKE) System
- Package for Analysis and Visualization of Environmental (PAVE) Data
- Input/Output Programmers Application Interface (I/O API)
- Multimedia Integrated Modeling System (MIMS)
- Environmental Benefits Mapping and Analysis Program (BenMAP)
- Visualization Environment for Rich Data Interpretation (VERDI)
Get Help
If you need help with any of the above supported software, we suggest you follow the steps below:
- Read through the Model Documentation
- Search through our FAQs (Note that we are currently working to expand this FAQ and make it searchable)
- Search the m3user listserve for questions similar to yours
- If you haven't found your answer, then Subscribe to the m3user listserve and then post your question to the listserve by emailing m3user@listserv.unc.edu. Someone from the CMAS support group or the wider CMAS community will provide an answer or suggestions for you in a timely manner.
- Consider taking one of our training courses
In addition to the thousands of brilliant minds in the CMAS community, CMAS has support staff on hand to assist you. The support staff monitor the m3user listserve traffic daily, and will answer questions or suggest further actions to help you resolve your problems.
